More on making the sunroof removable (archive)

Positioned a magnetic pick up tool next to the locking washer. Pushed off the washer with a stainless steel point and the magnetic tool grabbed it. Positioned the magnetic tool at the rear side of the pin. Pushed out the pin using the stainless steel point and the magnetic tool grabbed it too. You have to lower the roof slightly to remove the tension on the pins. Lift the rear of the roof up slightly and it comes right out towards the rear. So if we had an easy to remove and install pin, removing and installing the sunroof would be a piece of cake. Problem one.

The roof fits in the trunk sideways or lengthwise but not nicely. I would prefer leaving the roof in the garage and coming up with a way to temporarily seal the roof in case of rain. Problem two.

Took the roofless (sort of) car out for a ride (70 MPH Maximum). With the windows down or slightly opened there is no buffeting. With them closed there is. With the windows closed if you place your hand above the roof line at the front of the opening the buffeting stops. Problem three.
Will work on the pin problem first. Any thoughts or suggestions on this mod are welcome.
