I bought my first BMW in May, 1999 - a 2000 M Coupe. I am not a BMW aficionado. I know next to nothing about German engineering. I was in the market for a sports car and saw the M Coupe. Drove it. Bought it. Love it.

I have a few concerns, however. I appreciate any and all feedback I get on the following: First, on cold starts, almost always in mornings, the car will stall upon initial excelleration. I find myself having to press in the clutch again to keep from stalling out completely. A couple additional taps on the gas with the clutch depressed and the problem's gone for every start for the remainder of the day. But first thing next morning - same problem. I've explained the problem to techs at two different dealerships. Both have run diagnostic tests and come up with nothing. Any ideas?

Also, I drove the car well over 100 mph on several occasions, each time for just a few seconds, in its first 200 miles. At about 250 miles I realized this was not wise and didn't do it again until well over 1000 miles. Do you think I did any permanant damage? Other than the above problem I've never had one bit of trouble with the car.

Sorry for the long post. Thanks in advance.
