first of all, a/x is very driver-dependent. when someone makes it to the nationals, he/she is very good - but that still leaves a lot of room for variations (like just having a bad day)! second, it's a very specific set of performance parameters that matters, and tires matter the most by far (none of those cars ran on anything you'd drive on the street except maybe to/from events). a good a/x car doesn't necessarily make a good track car and vice versa. to say nothing of being a fun car to drive on the street.

for me personally, how relevant is someone else's performance in a parking lot full of cones to MY enjoyment of MY car? - not very... but maybe i'm just too self-centered :)

while on subject of a/x though, anything coming up in the area?
