M Coupe discontinued? No 2001? Ever? (archive)

Just bought a 2000 M Coupe since I've been told this may be the last chance to buy one.

Ones that have gazed into the cystal ball have indicated that 2001 Z3 Coupes will not be offered with the new(or the current, for that matter) M engine. 2002 may be the earliest, and most likely in roaster only. Even when the new Z3's are intro'd in 2003, coupe body with M spec would not follow until '04 or '05, if they even build in coupe form.

Anyone out there have heard otherwise?
