When you first mentioned this car I didn't know you were thinking about autocrossing it. Isn't this class for SCCA road racing? It doesn't say anywhere that it is for autocross.

As for the class restructuring, this might help the M Coupe out a little bit, but maybe not enough. I'm still willing to bet that the C4 Vette and the Boxster S will be the (course dependent) hot cars in Class 2.

I also don't think kicking the S2000 out of Class 3 (AS) is going to help the 2.8 out much. The S2K is quick, but so is the Boxster 2.7, and you see that can't go anywhere because the Boxster S is already occupying the class ahead of it.

I actually co-drove an S2000 last weekend, thanks to the most generous of owners. There is no doubt that it is really, really fast, but it is also a tricky car to drive. Some former National Champs have told me that the Boxster pretty much does what you ask it to.

Just my worthless opinions...
