Tranny/Diff. Fluid swapout- Questions??? (archive)

I am going to swap out my tranny and diff. fluids soon and would like to know what kind of fluids you all have used for replacement. I use Redline MTL in my miata's and have had great results with reduced shifter notchiness

Anyhow, since BMW says it is a lifetime fluid(bullshit) they do not put any information in the owners manual.

Any information greatly appreciated!
