Here is the problem.
If I try and shift the car into 1-4 while stationary and not running, everything is fine and the gear would easily glide...
However,
If I decide to move the lever towards fifth gear, it takes some force, and sometimes stays stuck over there...(I mean when I push it to the right, it stays on the right for a while, even if it is not in gear.)
Anyhow,
When the car is warmed up and everything is fine.. I still have some difficulty shifting into fifth... sometimes it goes all the way, and sometimes not.... when it doesn't go, I need to take the shifter to neutral and back into fifth again...
I guess that I have a worn clutch or something, cause when the car is idling, there is some kind of rotating noise, that goes off when I depress the clutch.. I don't know what this is ...
I tried to take it to the dealer, but all I could get was an appointment that is two weeks far.
If anyone has any knowledge or any similar problem then please let me know..
I am trying my best to diagnose what is wrong, and might end up replacing the clutch with SACHS and a lightened flywheel... but before doing that, I need to know if the transmission is fine..
I hope that there is a simple fix for this..
Thanks all for the help..
Shihab
