But, these M motors are expensive! The only engines I have experienced oil starting to smell of gas is usually older engines(my '93 miata w/ 95K miles is starting to smell- even using Redline 5w30 changed out every 3K!) or race engines- super high compression.

I wouldn't panic, but I would have the dealer check it out- I don't think a new engine should smell like gas, especially after it is broken in.

Let us know how it goes w/ the dealer.
