If its going to be your only car, then you might want to consider and Audi A4 QUATTRO or S4. Though not sports cars, you still could enjoy them, and there are trick parts available for them too (S4 chips can go over 300hp!).

Or, . . . go the route I used to back home in Chicago. Buy a BEATER for the winter! One was a land yacht 71 Mustang, and guess what? I MADE money with that car! See, everyone was sliding though stop signs and hitting me. Didn't want it on their insurance records, so they'd pay me to repair it. Then come near summer, unload it.
