yep. greg says that the stage 2 software (if you've already paid to have stage 1 done at full price) come with the purchase of the CAI.

didn't know that myself. but it could be a dinan shop difference. west county bmw dinan charges for every item they do to your car. that in addition to the per hour labor really hurts. the SC kit, had i gone with wc bmw, would have been significantly more money.

bimmers has cheaper per hour labor (important for 20 hours of work!), and they also didn't charge me for the supercharger program. i was wrong, i thought it was bone stock, but that's true for 328 and the like. for the m motor, it's a proprietary program for the SC to run this turbonetics timer gizmo as well as to handle the increase air/fuel flow.

if i were you, i'd get the CAI at bimmers and get the software upgrade "free" there. at least, that is what i know from talking with greg. at the shop, they actually documented the install by video and did some video clips at speed and so forth. very neat stuff. all i can say is that if someone wants to buy an SC kit from turner and try to do it themselves, you're crazy. those kits don't come with the upgraded pulley, a bigger fanblade, some ninja injectors, the turbonetics timer gizmo and about 20 other things you'd have to fabricate yourself to hook up the blower. it's only 278 steps for a dinan dealer. HSI (heavy sarcasm intended).
