Well,
I just arrived home from the event two hours ago..
I didn't want to do anything except wash my car... I know, it is raining in here, but I had to wash my car...
I went off track yesterday and today's drive was all filled with rain..
I am glad that I took the time to go to this event...(even though it is more than 25 miles from home, ha Mike!!)
It was really shiny on Saturday and I was able to push the car, although not as smooth as I would like to be...
First run, was a 65 somthing... and then I went up to 66.593 + 3 cones.... too hot done the straight away, that decreases and turns towards the end..
I was able then to move to a 67.386, even higher.... the final run was the best out of my official runs... I reached 64.871
I took 4 more timed runs only, and there is where the M Coupe went really really nice.. All the runs were with a passenger!!
The first was a 64.395, going down to 63.561 and then 63.311..... there was an additional run where I was in the 64`s or the 65`s.... but I can't remember...
Finally,
I was called to a rerun, and Ken Motonishi wanted to ride with me..
This was the run that I drove with my foot rather than my head..... and I screwed up..
I went off track.. and spun off the car, in the dirt...
That's is why I was cleaning the car a while ago...
As for the rain... it was not good... The best I had was a 77.012..with 77.888 and 78.942. I guess that I am not as smooth in the rain.. the car was just sliding all the way....
Guess that I need to work on making my driving smoother in the rain...
It was nice to see how being smooth improved my times a lot.. I know that the car has more in it, but I was not being smooth enough... I was just on and off the gas...
What can I say..
But,
It was a very nice event..
I enjoyed being with a club that feels more like family..
Good to see you again Mike..
Hopefully, I will not miss the next events..
