i looked at the sticker prices on the 3.0i's and they're more expensive than my m coupe new.

if you can get that 3k off the car, get the 3.0i if you need that car now. it will be a great driver and mikez is right, you put throw money at the suspension and the wheels & tires.

if you're a hp freak, do yourself and your pocketbook a favor (if you're cost-sensitive) and just wait for the new m engine to trickle down to the m coupe/roadster platforms.

to BMW's credit, they are notoriously conservative about the speficic output of their engines. so the 3.0 is a long stronger than what the 225/215ft-lbs says on paper.
