Yesterday I glancing through Ebay auctions for Ferrari, and came across an auction for a 360 Modena that misrepresented option information. I sent this email to the seller:

>What is wrong with you? How can you lie in an auction? What are you
>trying?
>
>The Challenge grill is not 2,000$, it is about 500$
>The Ferrari Emblems in the fenders is an 1003$ option, not 2000$
>The brake calipers are also around 500-700$, not 2000$
>
>How about telling it like it is?
>
>A sham?

Just today I got a response from the guy, and after reading the first few lines, I was actually taken back by his seemingly genuine apology. Then I got to the last few lines..here is his response:

Ben,

Thanks for the note. You are correct and hopefully you are in possession of one of the cars already so you needn't buy this one. If you had ordered your car from the factory with these options you are just about on. Challenge grill is $650, Emblems are $1,003, and Calipers are actually $643, but if you did not order it this way and decided to upgrade at some later time because you liked those options better, the sheilds would actually run $4,230 to order the custom fenders, Grill $1,899, and Calipers are $1,744.....After driving it in Germany I liked those things better, but it already had the calipers on it when I bought it so they didn't need to bleed them or mess with that. I would actually keep the car, but I worked out a deal over there with the first Spider client in Germany to take his spot unexpectedly and figured it was such a good deal I'd just sell the coupe here. I'm also on the board of directors for the national Ferrari Owner's Club, and have 3 Ferrari's already including an F50, 512M and mondial T cab so do me a favor you fucking stamp and shut the fuck and quite bitching about shit you don't know about.....thanks!!!!

Wow, If he really owns an F50...any comments?
