How many of you bought a 3.0 over a M? and why? (archive)

Here are a few reasons going for the 3.0 that I have read so far and am considering.
1) great for stock racing or autoX
2) lighter than the M so may be a bit quicker in the corners
3) has almost the same power as the current M
4) Taking out a loan for a new car has price benefits--- example- lower APR.
5) Won't have to worry about getting a "used" vehicle
6) Lower cost to insure than the M

Please give me any input for either car because I am having a hard time justifying upgrading from my Z3 roadster 1.9. Do you guys miss the top down experience?
