It is indeed hard to keep that right foot under control in this car! However, my suggestion is to follow the Break-In instructions, posted on the top left of the windscreen, for the first 1000 miles. One of the many great things about this engine is that it has lots of torque at around 3000 to 3500 RPM: no need to red-line it for snappy driving at this time. After the 1000 miles, gradually build up the to the RPM limit, and always, always, let the oil get to proper operating temperature prior to stetching the motor. This process also allows you to build up your feel for the car's handling capabilities in tune with the engines capabilities. This should give you long lasting driving and ownership pleasure in your M Coupe. Have fun!
