I don't know if they'd give you $$$ back for your original parts, but what I mean is this - anything done INTERNAL in a dealership is cheaper. Say the New Car Dept wants something added to a car - their cost of the parts is a certain % over cost. And the labor rate is lower than if you came in off the street to have work done. Now it does not neccesarily mean you will get it at THEIR price, but you CAN bargain them down on it.

Now, if you get it as part of the deal (package), then instead of paying $1800 out of your pocket right then and there, you can have it all included in your car loan. It might add a few cents of dollars to the monthly, but its not a big chunk all at once. And I think it might only add .50 per $500 or something like that to the monthly.
