Yes, the A/C and recirc buttons do not light up unless on.

My coupe was build date 6/00, I was told it came with synthetic, AND it has a sticker under the hood to verify that.

I haven't had any problem (yet!) with gauges fogging up.

I've had my silver/black coupe for 3 months now and have loved every minute. Only a few minor problems I need to have addressed:
2 of my gauges fogged up on a misty night.
My a/c and recirc button do not light up when left off (is this the way it should be?)
The age old oil question: A BMWNA rep told me that the car was shipped with synthetic (i have no sticker though). The production date from the sticker inside the car is 5/00.
Is this info from BMWNA correct?
