BMW reads every last post on this board. You just publicly stated you did not follow the break in instructions which are clearly posted on the winshield, and which the owners manual tells you to follow. If something does happen to your car, it won't be to hard for BMW to justify voiding your warrenty. Sorry if this is not what you wanted to hear, but you need to know. And as far as the break in is concearned, you are obviously of enough intelligence to have 40 odd k to spend on a vehicle and you bought one of the finest machines on the road today. BE SMART and take it easy with the break in. 1000 miles will be over soon enough. Also, leave the traction control on in the begining, this car has a scary amount of torque and making the thing drive with the ass end pointed the wrong way is REAL easy to do before you get to know the beast. Enjoy and be good her and she will make you very very happy!!
