I think you would be surprised what people take out on to lakes in the dead of winter. Even though the car is a compact 3,000 pounds, some of the lakes in IL and MN have ice that is a foot thick and a Coupe would be lighter (pound per surface area) than quite a few Suburbans and even RVs I have seen used by ice-fishing enthusiasts. Crazy folks them mid-Westerners.. ;)
