You can end any lease early. But sometimes it can cost you some big bucks to do it. Other times, it can cost you nothing.

An example: I was leasing a 2000 323Ci for 36 months. However I decided after 7 months I wanted an M-Coupe. The dealer that had my current '99 M-Coupe was willing to buy out my 323Ci for the full "buyout" price. Therefore I paid ZERO out of pocket to end the lease. It was almost a straight swap for me...going from the 323 to the M-Coupe. All I paid at delivery was registration and the cost of installing the 6-CD changer.

Shop around...some dealers may be more willing to help you out of your lease than others. Also, the further into your lease the easier it can be to get out of it...although there can be exceptions.
