i've been in some really fast v8 cars before, and the acceleration is addicting, but it gets old after a while.

It doesn't get old to me, but you get used to it, and then it doesn't SEEM as fast anymore till you drive a Corolla or something.

i like cars that have everything-speed, handling, build quality, sophistication, etc. that's why i got my m coupe in the first place.
now the z06 might be gm's best effort yet in the sports car realm, but it will never be a bmw.

But then, if you look at this forum, there are a lot of folks who seem disatisfied with all the little things wrong with their BMW's! Mainly new younger owners who never drove an old 60's Brit sports car. But complain never the less. So even though the Z06 is not perfect, neither is the BMW - all cars have their own quality issues, none are perfect. If I had the moeny to do it all over again, I'd go for the Z06 now, more so than I was tempted to get the C5 Hardtop over the Coupe. But I am not saying I don't love my Coupe or regret getting it.
