Battery fluid note... (archive)

I searched the archives for this information without any luck, so I'll post it here in case anyone needs it in the future.

I decided to check my '00 M coupe battery fluid level yesterday, but when I uncovered the battery it had labels glued over the flush caps, making it look like a maintenance-free battery. Since the archives didn't clarify matters, I contacted the Super Ron Stygar (not related to Super Dave Osborne), who instructed me to peel back the labels for access to the caps. They >will< stick when you press them back in place.

In his case, five of the six cells were low. I was lucky - only three were low.

Hope this helps someone else.

Mike
