if they say the new one does it in 5.3 seconds, then that's just as fast as the M5 which is quoted as going from standstill to 100km/h in 5.3.
further, you can see that when that translates over to the US, the M5 runs to 60mph in 4.7 to 4.8 seconds (traction limited). so, the new m coupe will be fast. it will be the fastest bmw short of the z8 in the US.
people will pay extra money for that.
