i think it's interesting philosophically how cars get their acceleration. the monstrous diablo has awd, v12 engine, and weighs 3600 pounds or so. but it manages something akin to 3.9?

the 996 has the engine right over those fat wheels so traction is great, and they do the same specs with less power, but also because of less weight.

ferrari does it with attention to detail to: careful windtunneling, SMG, linear high-revving power.

it's just interesting how the power comes out. i know that supercars are already an insane category. doesn't it speak volumes, then, when a mainstream company such as bmw is able to dress up plebian luxury cars that can hold their own with some minor supercars?
