Finally drove a 3.0, nice, but no current M3/Coupe (archive)

Test drove one with a friend thinking struggling with sense (M3) and sensibility (3.0 Coupe). Nice car, much better than old 328 and I agree, nearly as fast as the M Coupe BUT....IMHO

You have to rev it to be near an M as a result of different clutch and more importantly, the gearbox. You will not mistake it for an M, just a very fast 3 series. Nice try though, may be a contender as an automatic for wife who so far refused to go stick shift unless its an M. I agree relunctantly.
