Living in Cleveland, I spend 80% of my time driving on dry/wet roads, only 20% of the time do actually get caught driving while it is actually snowing or before the plows have a chance to clear the streets. The point to this is that unless you live in Buffalo whereyou drive on snow pack from September to June the tires that offer the best snow ice/traction will be lousy performers 80% of the time.
The M2 sports are rated a winter performance tire and according to Dan at the Tire Rack are a great compromise between the safety of winter tires when the white stuff falls, and reasonably high performing time the rest of the time. These are the tires that both BMW and Porsche recommend for their cars (I called both dealers).
So that's my story - They will arrive in a week - I'll post my impressions then.
what does everyone recommend for MCoupe during winter, use my car as daily driver, change tires-new rims and tires 16', buy shit car leave M at home??
