just curious. you could get a steal on a used m coupe or used 2.8 coupe if you could find one to meet your needs. they depreciate significantly (like a peugeot) for the first year. anyhow, the hatchback is tremendously useful. wouldn't exactly call it a trip car, though: small fuel tank, no true spare, seats are not ideal for long trips.

talking new: the new 3.0i coupe is awfully nice and comes with slightly more fouffee options not available on the m coupe.

the new 530s are beautiful cars. i see more and more of them on the road and i really wish we could have one. can you get a e39 530 with a 5 speed?
