Ok, first I’m new to the M Coupe family. I just love this car! I have been driving it for a few months now, but I still am having problems with the shift points. I drive the car in everyday traffic daily. I find that when I shift less agressivly I have no trouble with “Lurching”, but when I want to step on it I find that my techn. Is less than adequate. I am getting lots of lurching. Does anyone have so shift point advise for a newbee? Is it needed to "blip" the gas between shifts? I accelerate in first till about red line the depress the clutch and release the gas. I "blip" the gas (tring to match RPM) and release the clutch rather quickly. This produces lurch. I have tried to let the clutch out slower, but I am concerned with wear and tear on the clutch. Help.

Don't "blip" the gas for upshifts, just release the accelerator slightly and you should get pretty smooth upshifts. Only "blip" for smooth downshifts.
