Couple of thoughts

1) throttle blips are for downshift only
2) I had some initial trouble with lurching when upshifting to 2nd. Taking the advice I found on this board, I found that by shifting just a little bit slower that the shifts are perfictly smooth and acceleration is quicker overall.
