I spoke with a very reliable friend a few weeks ago and I heard that the new euro M3 motor will make it into the M Coupe/Roadster. Now I saw this in the latest issue of Autoweek. It's official!!

A 315HP M Coupe will be awesome!!

'01 S4 (No Flaming Please...I miss the M Coupe!)

I would assume with E46 M3 production starting in Feb. or March, and the first two months production being non-customer order cars (according to Fred Meloan) there will be precious few motors left to put into M-Coupes.

Think about it, customers are breaking BMW's doors down for M3's, while our Coupe has a very small circle of admirers. I wouldn't be surprised if BMW doesn't wait to re-introduce the Coupe for 2002.

Just my thoughts.
