We had our last meal of 1994 at Corky's barbeque in Nashville and out first meal of 1995 at Corky's barbeque in Knoxville (dry rubbed ribs make one FINE breakfast if you drink the right beer with it). In between, we spent New Year's Eve at the Grand Ol' Opry - maybe not my preferred entertainment venue, but sure enough an American experience we had to share with our kids. Had we known about the Redneck Dragon, we woulda been there, too! Then I drove nonstop back to Philadelphia, with the kids watching videos in the back of the Suburban, my wife handing over a continuous stream of road food, and BB King oozing from the stereo.

Meanwhile, Mike - take-out from 2000 miles away at 4 AM??? Won't it be cold by the time it arrives! We were having Retsina and jumbalaya at about that time last night (what else do you do after shoveling 10" of snow off your 130 foot driveway?)
