You can REALLY easily puyll; the entire headliner down about 4-5 inches. It is velcro'd on (actually it is that REALLY good style velcro that is 2 pieces of plastic mating together instead of cloth).

ALl you need to do is probe a bit and find the 2 wires which provide you with + and - when the car is running (I think they are the brown and green, but I dont remember exactly). You can then stick that little "hard wired adapter" up there (kind of a tight squeeze though, and then run your RJ11 phone cord for power out of the front of the headliner right near the window. I cut the rj11 phone cord down to about 18" and crimped on my own fuze and 18gauge copper leads, and then used Blade COnnectors to go into wire tapes that I crimped onto the power and ground wires coming off of the sun roof switch.

My next project is to hard wire my Valentine One into the M Coupe... I'd like to mount it on the top, next to the rear view mirror, but the roof seems pretty solidly glued onto the car.

Has anyone done this before, and if so, could they tell me where the best power line to tap is?
