My M Coupe (with sunroof) weighed 2998 with 2 gallons of gas and otherwise bone stock, nothing removed. I weighed it over 2 years ago, on race scales, shortly after I got it.

Of course, even 3000 seems heavy for such a small car.

I have no idea why BMW prints 3131.

The "///M coupe" is listed as weighing 3131 lbs. ... the new "Z06" is listed as weighing 3130! Pretty amazing when ya look at how much larger the Vette is! Too bad the Coupe couldn't come in at 2800 lbs (or less), but then it would not be as solid or as quiet, which I like. (Wonder how much Kathy's white race car weighs? ... with roll-cage.)

Just doing some rambling ... FWIW.

If you look at the fine print in the manual you'll see that 3131 includes a full tank of gas and a driver. I think everyone else's weight is empty of both people and fluids. Correct me if I'm wrong.

A guesstamite would put the car closer to 2850.
180lb driver plus 13 gallons at 7lb each. Add a few more pounds for oil etc.
