I've a Z3 coupe, not an M coupe. All four wheels and tires are the same size. I know the tires would be 'directional' if rotated every 7500 or more miles, but I rotate them every 3000 miles.

The rotation is back ones straight to front and front ones diagonol to the rear; standard rear-wheel drive radial method. And at every 3000 miles, that's often enough to eliminate the 'directional' issues so often experienced.

Tread wear is extremely uniform, the only bad thing is the inside edge of the rear tires bears harder at low speeds (rear axle design). At 13000 miles, the inside edge of the tread on all four was about 1/32nd of an inch more worn than the rest which was very even. About 60% of the usable tread remains. To me, that's pretty good tread life for a tire treadwear rated at 140.

Drive seatbelted,
