Basically the car is identical to the 2000 model on the exterior. The only visible change is the M badges are now radiused like the M5 rear decklid badge. The headlights are the same. No xenons. No fogs. The wheels may be slightly darker now, but I don't think you'll notice without putting them side by side. Brakes appear to be same size. Tires are sime sizes.
In the interior, obviously the TPC and DSC buttons are new. No idea why there was no defroster button on this car. This car had a VIN number and 12 miles on odometer. The chrome ring on the rear view mirror is new and it looks good.
The bad news is the gauges. The gray is a light color in real life. If the typeface was black instead of white, it would be OK. These might be hard to read in heavy sunlight. The M3 had the same ones.
The M3 was there. The 18" wheels look great on the car. Steering wheel feels good. Anthracite headliner looks good. But the car doesn't do it for me (obviously, I gave up my spot) like an M Coupe or a 996 does.
If anyone has specific questions, I will try to answer them. I am disappointed there were not more changes to the car, but I am hoping the engine will make up for that.
