I suppose we could extend the project to cover coupés (grin).
The concept is that we collect fairly detailed suggestions from owners, present them in a collated manner and then allow owners to vote on the ideas (with special procedures for FL residents).
Each VIN number that responds gets to submit a total of 100 votes spread as they wish. So they might give 10 votes to one idea, 15 to another, and so on up to 100 in total. If they don't use all 100 that's their problem. When this way of voting is analysed it gives two sets of statistics--the outright ranking of ideas in terms of votes, plus those ideas which have broad, but lower level, support.

PS: I agree with many of your comments above but your disappointment with the 2001 M coupé will be less if you view it as merely a mid-life kicker.
