Looks beautiful Esteves, I wonder how a FOCUS would fair on that road.

Steve

Did the Mines Road/Mt. Hamilton PreRun this past Saturday at 7am in the morning. I was joined by two other people crazy enough to wake up that early (Scott and Jeff).

Though we were suppose to start at 6am, it was much too dark to run rampant on a road we weren't familiar with. So, we waited for a little day light before starting.

It's an interesting road. A bit of debris on the road, so keeping your distance from the lead car is a good idea. Free roaming cattle was a surprise as they pretty much walk wherever they want. A deer jumped out in front of my car, but I saw it in advance and was able to take appropriate measures. Some small rock debris from small rock slides (probably due to the cows walking along side the hill).

At 7am in the morning, there was dew on the grass, so I assumed there was a bit of moisture on the road, so we naturally slowed it down a bit.

But the road is a lot of fun with plenty of twists towards the end.

I think everyone will enjoy themselves when we tackle this road again on the 27th.

Here is a picture below of San Jose where I hail from!
