I do agree with the majority that keyless entry, fog lights, xenon, etc. would have been nice (or almost a necessity for car at this price). But I expect that those won't come free either if they were available. And if I really wanted them that bad, I really should go for the M3 instead (plus, my understanding is that they are available as an after-factory upgrade). But I won't because it just doesn't give me the pure sports car feeling like the M Coupe does. Not to debase the sports car handling abilities of the M3, but I just can't resist the M Coupe's unique character with all of its handling capabilities (even with the older suspensions). The bottom line is, this car rocks with or without the hp upgrade.
Finally, for the 2000 model owners, I would like to post this question: if you were back in 2000 (seems like long time ago, hehe), would you still buy this car? I think that most of you would say yes. In that case, the only difference this year would be that I would be paying ~3 grand more for the newer engine and DSC, and to me, this is still a great deal. I'm very interested in what all of you think about my view so please post them. May be someone should start a poll: 2001 M3 or 2001 M Coupe? As of now, I'm still leaning toward the Coupe (plus no way in hell I'm going to wait another 2 years to get M3).
By the way, I like the new gray speedometer. Motor Trend says that they are actually easy to read in the M3.
