The new 3.2 only has 22 more pound-feet of torque than the older(96-99)M52. You can add an exhaust, an intake, a chip, some cams, and no cats, and you will probably be pushing every bit of 280-290 pound-feet of torque. Much faster than the new one without the wait. Trust me, never buy a first year production car from ANYONE, too many bugs to be worked out. Not worth your time and expense. Go with the 2000 and live a little.
