A discussion some time ago about how much air to put in the tires to get full footpring (contact patch) might be a few pounds below the door sticker's numbers.

Someone mentioned that reducing pressure puts more weight on the sidewalls and that wasn't a good idea.

I thought the car rode on air in the tires and all the tire did was keep that air from squeezing out from under the tire and very little, if any vertical pressure was on the sidewalls.

Comments, explanations, beliefs, facts; all appreciated.
