Fact is I just don't like the look or feel of the Vette's. I think the body style is very unattractive.

Also I feel the Coupe with the hatchback is a much more functional design. The performance of the M Coupe will be more than sufficient for grins and giggles in my book, though I will have less bragging rights, based on magazine comparisons I will suffer a reduction of 1.34% of my bragging rights.

Clearly on a strict performance basis the Z06 is a great sports car. For a daily driver/sports car/unique vehicle, I don't think it compares very well.

In the end it doesn't bother me that there are other cars that are better in one or more categories. The performance is very comparable and I much prefer the style of the M Coupe to the Vette, which looks like every other Vette for the last 10 years and that is quite a few cars.

Also, the strong focus on a 10th of a second here or there and 5/100th of a G are important numbers for Car Magazines that sell articles based on who is the baddest of the week, but for real driving buy what you like and have a good time. Don't worry so much about whether a professional driver on a closed course is going to loose a 1/4 mile race by one second, you're missing the point.

Oh, and I think your numbers on the new 911 are wrong but to go any further would detract from my monologue. :)
