Break squeels. Is it the pads or rotors? (archive)

I had the Front rotors replaced at 7,500 miles for free, they were pitted from sitting on the dealer's lot and rusting. The technician also used a Scotch pad to remove the "glaze" from the front pads. The front is great

Now the rear breaks continue to squeak. Will scruffing up the pads fix this, or was it the free rotors that fixed it? Thanks.
