2.8 vs 3.0 performance (archive)

I have the 2.8, but has anyone driven both the 2.8 and the 3.0? I am not able to testdrive the 3.0 (no dealer has one here in Norway!), and I can't help to wonder if I am missing out on something performance wise... Are there any noticeable differences? What about engine/exhaust sound?
