Nascar is about getting 1/100th of 1% ahead of the next guy. It's ALL about finesse. It isn't as exciting as F1, but everyone is on an even playing field. F1 you end up with cars that are simply better then their competitors, whereas in Nascar they are stuck eaking out every last drop of perfection from their machines.

They are at 105% every turn, check out the in car cams when they are oging around turns, they are on the edge of their grip the ENITRE time around the track.

It can be very boring, but I really started to like it once I understood the perfection they are working at. It remonds me of competition rifle shooting, it's not about hitting the bulls-eye, it's about hitting the bulls-eye slightly better then the next guy.

You hit it dead on and get a 10.9 for that shot, and the next guy is off by 1/10 of a millimeter, and thus only gets a 10.8, thats the sort of differences Nascar drivers have to work with.

It's too bad for the Earnhart family, but the fans got what they deserve. Compare NASCAR to formula-1. NASCAR races are in a circle. The fans just watch it waiting for an accident to happen.
