In Reply to: Poll: Do you hate the term "MZ3"? (its an M coupe! posted by Ben FR on February 25, 2001 at 15:21:49:

It's call an M coupe. We who own the cars should call it by it's name and correct anyone and everybody on their mistake in not know what an M coupe is and not allow them to try to refer to it by something else like MZ3. I believe you can thank BMP for coming up with this stupid name, MZ3. Hello ... it's an M coupe, it's not an M roadster. It's up to all of us to correct everybody, I'm sorry but I don't own an MZ3, I own an ///M Coupe. So who will join me in out fight ... in opening your windows and shouting out "I'm tired and I'm not going to take it anymore ... It's called an M coupe, what are you stupid???!!!"
I think it's funny how stupid some of the salesman, dealers, parts people are ... they know what an M3, M5, 328i, Z3, M roadster are but they are so stupid that they can not get through their fat heads what an M coupe is.

When I order parts ... I'm ask for what type of car, M coupe, and I do have to follow up and ask the parts guy ... you do know what car I'm taking about right? .... I know what car you are talking about ... Right, I still have to ask the parts guy, to make sure he does not order the wrong part for the wrong car, a question about the car like how may seats do I have, do I have a trunk, how many tail pipes.....

This poor recognition of the M coupe is one of the negatives in owning this car
