something that is very focused on providing the ultimate driving experience, all else is secondary (and not wanted). it must be engaging enough that driving it hard absorbs all your attention. it's an escape pod from daily reality. there is no need (or room) for a stereo. you can't hear the passenger, but they're speechless anyway. it is no place to relax. a supercar demands skill and dedication, and rewards it with a driving experience far outside the ordinary. a supercar has performance (i think 5.0 0-60 is minimum) and soul, with a look that is unique. a supercar is full of compromises - comfort, convenience, practicality are all sacrificed to performance and style. IMO a car that is produced in numbers greater than 1000 per year doesn't qualify, because its appeal is obviously too broad and not focused enough.
