A lot of the traction control process is the throttle. It is easy enough to feel the engine bogging if you try to do a "burnie" with the traction control on. Here is a little write up I did showing some pics of the traction control throttle body (which sits in front of the regular throttle body)... I removed my traction control throttle body so it wouldn't be an airflow restriction:
