i spent a lot of time asking the exact same question. i finally ordered my '01 without the glass panel.

this decision really is a matter of personal preference as most Coupes have the panel and nearly everyone who has it seems satisfied.

i decided against the panel for the following reasons:

1. prefer the look of the solid roof with unbroken sheet metal lines

2. the panel tilts up a few inches and doesn't slide open, so for me it was not very funtional

3. i am concerned about the interior heat it will generate because it lacks a sun shade

i am told that the glass panel adds about an inch (?) of headroom. this may be a consideration as well.
