I don't know what you mean by "the antena does not too sophisticated." Are you referring to its looks? If so, the reality is that it that it is as sophisticated as it can be and do what's expected of it which is to pick up electromagnetic waves in space and send them down the antenna wire to the radio receiver. The only functional improvement would be to use a straight vertical solid antenna about 2.5 feet long for FM radio and about 225.8 feet long for AM radio. For FM, that's practical, but not so for AM. There's a sophisticated coil at the antenna's bottom to make it function like a longer one and that's about as practical as you can get for a car radio antenna.
