So they are NOT, as far as we know now, going to redesign a new M coupe? 2002 is the last year??? I saw pictures of the new Z3 (can't remember where) and it looked pretty cool, I thought BMW might design the coupe after that new style. I am on the E46 M3 list but am not impressed after reading the board and seeing the demos (ugly as hell). I haven't drive it yet since the dealer sold the demo already. I am really interested in the M coupe, love that look and the new 315hp engine. Any info on #s as far as production, dealer allocations, etc.? My dealer in atlanta put me on the list for the supposed "new body style M coupe??", not sure what he was talking about. Thanks for the info so far. I heard that there will be a current style 2002 coupe starting in October 2001 which will run it's course. That's it. I ordered a 2001 one just in case this doesn't happen. Will be placing a deposit on a 2002 one soon just in case it does. Just trying to buy (new) the last model year of this great machine. Like the 4/99 and after Z3's were '00's, I assumed that the 4/01 and after Z3's would be '02's. WRONG! If still around, will shift interest to the new E46 M compact to replace my current '97 318ti (another fun car to drive).
